This full moon in Leo, happening right now, is actually a point of personal reevaluation. Even when there are no planets or points in the sign of the full moon, or in the corresponding degrees in the 3 angular signs to it, it still can have an impact regarding some issues that are quite relevant personally.
It definitely has to do with a new development that started back in august 2024 with the new moon in Leo, and became a major focus for the last 6 months. It has been taking in a lot of attention, as befits anything to do with Leo, and followed by fun and enjoyment, which is also typical. It also had a component that is typical of all the fire signs (Leo, Sagittarius and Aries), which is intuition – the ability to grasp the essence of a situation in a flash, by bypassing the linear accumulation of information.
The reevaluation part apparently comes from the hard aspect of the full moon (and the opposing sun) to Uranus in Taurus. It caused a sudden realization that was followed by a change of course, what actually is supposed to happen with Uranus, kind of the expected unexpected twist. Despite the usual meaning of the full moon as a time of culmination and completion, a fulfillment of the things started at the time of the new moon in the same sign 6 months earlier, this time it wasn’t quite like that, thanks to the strong Uranian influence.
Obviously it’s a post-hoc assessment, not something that is being thought of and implemented in a full awareness of the fact that it’s those astrological factors that are being played out. But even if there would have been this awareness it wouldn’t make much difference, imo.
All this comes at a time of a closure of another lunar cycle, a much bigger one – the lunar return of a secondary progressed moon. The last time it occurred was June 1997… I can’t help but wander whether these two cycles are related, or more like influenced by each other, being both lunar cycles, albeit quite different in scope. It feels like the subject of attention since last August during the Leo new moon till today’s full moon has been also a manifestation of the progressed lunar return, that was exact during last October, and it obviously being felt several months before and after, which beautifully coincides with this Leo moon cycle of the last 6 months.
This progressed lunar return doesn’t happen in Leo, so if it would than the connection might have been even stronger between those two lunar cycles. But it still makes the issues experienced during the last 6 months stand out, especially emotionally, and in a rather positive way, as expected from a progressed lunar return, that is not aspected too negatively. It’s perhaps best described as a combination between a new and exciting development (Leo, a fire sign) and a sense of coming home to oneself, which is the effect of the progressed moon return.
